President Chen Cheered For Winter Vacations Volunteering Team at the Flag-Giving Ceremony

    The flag-giving ceremony of this year’s winter vacations volunteering team took place on the morning of 19th of January at 8 o’clock by the NTUST administration building. Throughout the winter vacations this year (2012), a volunteering social service group which consisted members from more than ten NTUST societies, would be formed. It was said that an estimated 500 people would be benefited from the volunteering service. The service including skill-based volunteering work where students would help fixing electronic appliances by applying the skills they have learnt from lessons. The students would also be organizing various arts and social events plus tutoring younger pupils on how to do their work. Societies involved in this volunteering team including the social service society, International Volunteering Society, Classical Chinese Music society, Photography society, drama society, arts society, piano society, cheerleading squad, wine culture and wine tasting society, computing society, stomp society. rock society and International Friendship Ambassadors. The locations are set to be at TaPo Elementary School in Chishang Township, Taitung County and its surrounding communities, DaJin Elementary School in Guangfu Township, Hualian County, Wangxi Elementary School and Dingxi Elementary School in Yonghe District, New Taipei City.
