Congratulations! Professor Lin Zone-Ching of the Department of Mechanical Engineering Has Obtained a Utility Patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Research and Development Office Mar. 27, 2008-- Professor Lin Zone-Ching of the Department of Mechanical Engineering applied for a utility patent for his invention Method for analyzing effective polishing frequency and effective polishing times for chemical mechanical planarization polishing wafers with different polishing pad profiles from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on Nov. 25, 2005. This invention was granted Patent No. 7,299,107, the expiry date of which is July. 06, 2026, by USPTO on Nov. 20, 2007. This invention of Professor Lin’s is the 133rd patent obtained by NTUST faculty. It is another valuable addition to the university’s treasury of intangible intellectual property. Congratulations!
